Semblanza Conquers the Copa Río Camú, Anticipation Places

SEMBLANZA y ANTICIPATION, both RSA bred fillies by RSA stallion Favorite Band ran first and second respectively in the Copa Río Camú, celebrated on November 3 at the Hipódromo V Centenario. Everything suggests that they will meet with the undefeated filly DESTINO (also bred by RSA and also a daughter of Favorite Band) in the Clásico de Criadores-G1 that will be run the last Saturday in November to detremine the divisional Champion.

Semblanza
Semblanza wins easily the Copa Río Camú.

ANTICIPATION, who was back to the races after a 3 months layoff broke alertly and grabbed the lead with Semblanza at her rump throughout the early stages of the race. In the final 400 meters Semblanza took over the lead and opened up a 4 length lead. After changing leads and angled out ANTICIPATION recovered her stride and timidly advanced in the final meters to end 3 lengths behind the winner. The final time was an excellent 1:25 2/5 for the 1400 meter race. Semblanza is owned by our good client and good friend Osiris Bautista, who received the Cup from Mr. Nene Cochón. La filly now has 4 lifetime wins, she is trained by the young and talented Pedro Solano and was ridden by Miguel Sanchez.

The Copa Río Camú es held in honor of the formidable racemare of the Establo Maralba of Don Nene Cochón, who won 2 gems of the Dominican Triple Crown and ran 3rd in the Copa Confraternidad del Caribe-G1. Curiously, it was SEMBLANZA's dam Que Sera Sera, who won the Clásico Matías Ramón Mella (the first gem of the DR triple Crown) over Río Camú.
