Carlo Alberto thrilled racegoers in the mid 80's with 15 wins from 17 lifetime starts, including 2 or the 3 gems of the DR Triple Crown on the way to Champion 2 & 3yo and Horse of the Year honors. Carlo Alberto may have been the best DR bred racehorse of all times. His brilliance prompted his trainer, future Caribbean Racing Hall of Fame Trainer Eugenio Deschamps to say, "Carlo Alberto is quite possibly the best Dominican bred racehorse of all time and probably would have won the Clásico del Caribe."
Carlo Alberto immediately stamped his progeny with quality with a classic winner and a G1 wimmer in his first crop. Today he continues to improve his stats siring the first DR bred horse to win overseas and now the broodmare sire of the undefeated 2yo and probable 2yo Champion Incomunicato.
